Commitment Call Prep Guide
I'm glad we're here.
Our last conversation was coaching. This one is different. We're not going to work directly on your material today. The purpose of this call is to get to the root of the true commitment that you’re making to yourself, that you want coaching to help you with (note: it’s not a commitment to me).
Folks find this call to be one of the most helpful calls they’ve done. It will help clarify your bold vision for your life and business, get to the root of what’s blocking you, and help you get clarity on what you want to get out of a coaching container, whether that’s with me or someone else.
What we'll Explore Together:
Your vision. What we're actually contracting around: the goal you're committed to, and what you'd need to develop in yourself to get there. This will be something held firmly enough to be real and lightly enough that it can change as things unfold.
Impact. What are the costs of not making these changes? How might it affect you and the people around you?
Impediments. What’s stopping this vision from coming to life?
The structure. We’ll discuss how to structure the coaching container to help you bring your vision to life. This will include things like meeting frequency, pricing, how long we want to work together, etc.
What you Can Reflect On Before the call:
You don’t have to come prepared with anything for the call. You can just show up. That said, if you want to take some time to reflect beforehand, here’s what I’d recommend exploring:
What you want your life and business to look like a year from now. Rough is fine. These are the main threads we’ll pull on together.
What you need from coaching to make this worth it. What would make this the best investment of your life?
Your doubts about working with me, or a coach in general. Genuinely, this can be the most useful part of the conversation. Unspoken doubts don't dissolve.
Anything practical I should know: budget, travel, capacity, a hard upcoming season…
how it ends
We'll check in on the decision at the end of this call. Yes, no, or I still don’t know are all welcome. If you still don’t know, that gives us room to keep exploring together.
No is a completely fine answer. My goal is to help you get to a confident answer either way.
If it's a yes
I'll set up your coaching home base, send you a contract and an invoice, and a link to your onboarding worksheets. Then we'll book our kickoff session.
If you have any questions before our call, please let me know.
Otherwise, I’ll see you soon.
Warmly,
David
